Southern Gaming Summit 2021

JACKSON, MS (March 17, 2021) — The Mississippi Gaming & Hospitality Association (MGHA) announced the dates for the upcoming 2021 Southern Gaming Summit (SGS). SGS will be held May 4-6, 2021, at MGM’s Beau Rivage Resort located in Biloxi, Mississippi. Founded in 1994, SGS returns after a one-year absence due to COVID-19.

“MGHA is excited to bring back the Southern Gaming Summit in 2021,” said Larry Gregory, Executive Director of the association. “We will do so in a safe and responsible manner, somewhat limiting this year’s summit with no exhibit hall, having outdoor meetings and events and indoor meetings and events being held in larger spaces.”

Gregory added, “While we will not have an exhibit hall this year, we are looking forward to celebrating our industry and providing excellent networking opportunities, as well as inviting many of our state and local leaders as we discuss the impact of COVID-19 and what the future holds for gaming not only for the industry in Mississippi but as a whole.”

As in the past, SGS begins with a golf tournament, which will be held at the MGM Resort’s Fallen Oak Golf Course on Tuesday, May 4, followed by a Welcome Reception that evening on the event deck at the pool area overlooking the beautiful Mississippi Gulf Coast. On May 5, SGS attendees will hear from the keynote speaker (tba) and will then have the opportunity to listen and participate in an extensive conference program consisting of four sessions. Gaming industry leaders will be honored during an evening gala with several being inducted into the Mississippi Gaming Hall of Fame. Past recipients will be on hand as well.

Sessions for registered attendees include online sports betting, coping with COVID-19, cashless gaming and manufacturing. All sessions will be held in the convention area on the second floor of Beau Rivage.
